  1. Had a Green 3K for 10 years can,t fault it building boats. Also use it as a tig for stainless tanks, with scratch start.
  2. What pay tax to drive I,d rather buy another P38! The pump is the same apart from fly by wire and two more cylinders. There are plenty off peaple on the bio forum using bio in 300tdi,s with no problem that why I got it. Thanks anyway.
  3. Hi thanks folks that was my P38 he was looking at. Its got full service history, a chipped engine so does go, I,m the 3rd owner, new air bags pump and valve block. Does 30 around town and 35 on a run, returned 27 bringing a classic back from Northumberland to lincs. Now sold so can,t be that bad.

  5. Far to good a kit to scrap, there is to much good kit being scrapped these days. Soon all we will have will be throw away chinese rubbish. I have one I got new in 1978 don,t use it much now, but great when I need to. Put it on wheels if its not then they move easly.
  6. Hi not long got a 300tdi auto 1994 123000 miles and the fuel consumption is rubbish. Checked the pump timing and blocked of the EGR . Changed the thermastat. It has road tyres. It also does not like starting first thing in the morning, seems to be sucking in air but I can not fine any leaks. I have not had a 300tdi be for so don,t know if its down on power. My last car a P38 did 30 local and 35 on a run and a 200tdi I had a few years back did 30 local and 40 on a run but that was manual and in a range rover. I,m at a loss what to check nexst so I,m hoping some one can put me right.
  7. Hi can any one tell me if a 300tdi with a manual injection pump should rev faster when its cold? Thanks Paul
  8. If this upgrade is no good what do you think is a good cost effective upgrade for a 300tdi with edc?
  9. Mine was the 2.5 diesel and yes the chassis was well rusty at the rear end, I put it down to the fact that it may have used for launching boats as we are near the coast.
  10. Do'nt I had one for 14 months worsed 4X4 I've owned. It was slow, drank fuel, noisey , cost a small fortune when it went wrong, which it did on a regular bases. Get a late 300tdi instead.
