Due to me working my 06 TD4 Freelander 1 auto was delivered to me on Saturday by the dealer
I was still working yesterday so today was the first 'trip out'
Called in to fill with fuel, bit of a shock at £75+ but OK I understand that, then we went for a short jaunt...
This is when the trouble, if it is that, started.
On going up a steep hill the amber engine light came on and power was lost momentarily, the light went out then power came back,
This happened 3 times going up the hill and has not happened again despite me trying it up other hills
I believe the amber engine light is nothing other than a warning re emissions, is this right?
Unfortunately I don't have an up to date handbook, I have found a handbook online but that appears quite old
( the instrument display is different)
I will be calling the dealer tomorrow anyway, but was looking on here for advice/reassurance.
Having read and been told about issues with Freelanders ( I thought they were the petrol 1.8 ones!) am I being
paranoid?
Thanks in advance
Peter
