Hi,
Can anyone advise me....I bought a replacement diff for my 24spline axle but it arrived and has a 3 bolt flange attached to it. I have managed to remove the centre pin but instead of the 24mm nut to undo there was a 15mm bolt....
Can anyone tell me what the diff could be off and will it work with my 4 bolt flange?? I would need to use a big washer to hold the flange on.
hope someone can hlep.
cheers

Hey guys,
Sorry we got held up on the way over and got to the car park just after midday.
I think we did bump into you briefly at the top of the steps but i was busy trying to fix my transfer linkage issue, once i had it sorted you had started to head down.
Shame as it would of been nice to chat, and yeah weather was a bit on off though.
Great fun over there, steps weren't an issue for the 90, enough fun though. L200 that came with us was a major drag, took an hour of pissing about to get it over the steps seeing as it 20feet long.
when did anyone fancy another chance to meet?
We are going to Boxgrove in couple of weeks.....
cheers

we will be there for about 10:45 depending on how well everyone meets me at 10, take about 45mins to get over.
see you 2mo

its all good, thats the way i fit them yesterday just wanted to check before i give it too much abuse. So far i am very happy with it, first time its been off axles stands in over 4 weeks.

Hi,
Can anyone confirm which way round you clamp these down??
It says outside on two sides, one with the smaller side of the cone on the outer edge. The other on the side of the turret upright.
Anyone know??

Hey,
Can anyone tell me how to fit a 300tdi alternator to a 200??
It has three connectors on the back, B+ D+ and W
My 200tdi only has a big wire and one small wire going to it.
Any help would be great.
thanks

cool, thanks for all the input.
I hoping the front wont really have a problem as i still have standard radius arms on. Not looking to be changing them yet though so hopefully they will limit it before the prop has issues.
Rear is all sorted now, ideally a double cardon is next purchase
-
well i got the rear on its way now, front i want to see how runs for now.
And i not going as extreme as 3 inch as i dont really need it that high, but i would imagine it will give issues on uj's and diffs
-
what was that about? got bord after clicking the button?? lol

Hi,
Looking at options for rear springs for my 90.
I have a winch up front and a steering guard to add some weight to my 200tdi.
I am after a 2 inch lift or near enough and am thinking of using the RR hd springs up front after reading quite a few posts it looks like a good option. As for the rear the RR hd's dont look like they would be good enough so after looking at the spring spec list (http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/springinfo.html) i was possibly thinking of the disco hd (winch) fronts. They are slightly longer on free length and a touch stiffer too (part no: NTC8477), has anyone had experience of these, or even tell me if the info on the spec list is correct???
My van back 90 currently has some blue +2 springs on but they are really tired and sagging so have to go. It has been mentioned it may be worth trying my old rears on the front as with the winch etc it coudl work well. Anyone have an opinion??
Thanks in advance

I will probably have a pair for sale later in the year (probably nearer the end) as im moving my engine and box plus lengthening the wheel base.
Thanks for the offer, i am going to get a rear one ordered as i recon it really will need it straight away. The front i will leave to see so if you do have the front on offer at somepoint i will definetly be very interested in taking it.
cheers again

Thanks for the speedy reply, I will get a rear one ordered on monday then as by playing with it on axle stands is does look like an issue, as for the front i think i will see how it is once all fitted up, if anything i would like a double carden one but it depends on what i can get. if not another of gwyn's up front it will have to be.
cheers
They will both bind when the axle drops, The rear you will have to go wide angle, The front you might get away with just grinding some extra clearance in the transfer box end yoke, The small joint doesn't like working at the extreme of its movement but they do last OKish if you grease them regularly and change them at the first sign of wear.. Also check the sliding joint on the front, At full droop there's not much overlap left and if the sliding joint is worn it will cause problems. To be honest, If you can afford them get both props, They are a much heavier duty prop, Longer sliding joint and bigger, Better UJ's. I have them both on mine and they are brilliant.
