Hi all, my question is - can either of the above read engine revs in a live mode ? Ie driving along ? ( a passenger will be in charge of this dept )
Very shortened story is - I have a possible slipping clutch on a mildly tweaked TD5 90
I can decide if its slipping or the turbo spooling up ? Goes very well and towed 3/4 tonne of logs home ok the other weekend :0/
Defo sounds "slippy" though in noise/revs/speed relationship
Thanks in advance
P.S is anyone has one of the above and is passing through Nr Basingstoke, I make a great cuppa and have biscuits also :0)
Tappit gaps too tight ? If its cold the gap will be bigger so allowing proper (ish) operation, as it warms up the gaps decrease holding the valves open therefore not getting proper suck bang blow :0)
just an idea and cheap n easy to check / rectify
You don't have x eng springs fitted by any chance ? Simon did a product for extra traction/ dislocation with an inner spring arrangement, doesn't answer ya question :0) but may explain the springs
Drove round a rural corner road and found a wagon n drag coming backwards down the hill at me !!! That was quite exciting I can assure you ;0) and rescued wifey when she pranged her car :0( somthing to fix when the fluffy stuff goes :0)
Is it a case of less points per punch for the more able/modified type of truck ? I have enjoyed taking part in this event in the past , but have a traybacked three winched lockerede 90, now don't get me wrong I'm not entering this one to win - or trophy hunt, just wondered how its going to be levelled out ? And a big well done to all for getting running again :0)
I think wills idea is good in the fact that that its set out to be a non damaging kinda day - but as somthing as simple as a broken light lens could get ya stopped/fined ect and also the possibility of unknown damaged parts would be an issue for me for sure, it's good to get ideas out there though :0)
