I'm in Hampshire, our tip does have the seperate large oil drum/collecter and I guess they re sell it onwards ( as far as I'm aware many products are produced from waste oil , like WD40 type things ) I reckon it's a jobs worth / rules thing, which I understand ( maybe not agree with ) As it happens i do have a permit for a 6x4 trailer which igot told I needed, so I applied online to my council and recieved f.o.c , however I've never been asked to produce it :0) I can see a common theme here ( jobs worth ) maybe :0)) If a landy owner /trader is local i will entertain a delivery to them , Thanks for the replies so far

Hi all, after a few services I have about 50 litres of waste oil ( mainly engine , but also diff and box fluids also ) I am a hobbiest not trade, I went to my local tip who are usually quite chilled but refused to accept it unless its in 5litre tubs, I did ask nicely that if I had ten x5 litre tubs at once if that would be ok ? "Yep" was the reply :0) So I now need to do many trips with the One and only 5litre tub I have, or I'm open to suggestions please ?? They have one large container it all goes in, so I can't see the problem, but I respect there "rules " Thanks for ya time in reading this post Any ideas where I can get rid please ??

Lovely n sunny but a little chilly today ( Saturday ) suppose to be a frost overnight and 9 degrees tomorrow , so I say wrap up warm to start wiv and go from there, no rain mentioned - so far I live about 15 mins away , so it's a local forecast :0)

The first one after sodburys days was a little quiet, but has grown again since then, depending on weather I would reccomend a trip to Newburry for sure
-
I have seen the "wurth" ones in action and was very impressed, they have a ratcheting system on them also with different tips, I have no idea how much they cost though sorry, did have a "expensive but worth it " look about them
-
I'm sure you will be spoilt for choice on that one ( depending on what type ya after ) I've gotta rustle up some "fine collectables" to sell there, but I'll mainly be sat in a chair chatting and making bacon rolls and cups of T :0)) Will have to have a quick stroll around "just in case " Ha Ha

Mikec, yep getting bigger every year since the takeover from sodburys , I have been most years as its 15 mins from my house which is handy :0) Depending on what ya after or may need - its probally worth a trip I say

Not been to that one meself, but Newburry isn't that far away (time wise )
-
Much better :0)

Supposedly the posts on here are suppose to be landy related ? I'm not fussed meself - I've had a few of my posts n videos removed in the past tough :0)

Hi all, a work colleague has just called to say his steering box is leaking on his TD5 Disco, I have changed one on my early V8 disco ( much missed ) and can't remember any dramas but was just checking it was quite straight forward to do ? Am I right to think the steering drop arms a very tight ? Or is it as easy to buy a new drop arm to save the issues of swapping them over ? And finally - any supplier reccomended or to avoid ?? Thanks in advance

Interesting you say that Mr Toad :0) I have had a whiff of diesel now n then when I get outa the car, but no marks on the drive, I'll pop the plastic engine cover off soon and report back, Would be nice if it were a quick fix rather than another clutch ( fingers crossed ) Thanks for the replies so far

That's the thing- it does the "slippy" bit from low down the revs/throttle opening then sounds like it "grips" and off we go :0) once were rolling nicely it seems fine unless you press the accelerator the it does the same for the initial period :0/
