probs solved i hope used defender half shafts and cvs rrc main hub[the bit with ball] defender outer stub shaft but had to put a spacer in front of bearing thrust washer [2 mini primary gear thrust washers perfic fit] will test sunday under full load will post results

no im refering to the shaft that goes into the cv like a very short half shaft simmilar to the kam fusible stub shafts what i dont know is does any rover have the 8in shaft splined at both ends one end for cv other end for fwhub or do i have to fit defender hubs shafts cvs etc with the shaft part of the cv any imfo greatly appreciated as only been toying with rovers for two years after 35 in the motor trade and boy have i missed out thanks in advance

i am refering to stub shafts not axles why is it put me in front of a key board and my brain disingages

88 rrc i have now welded front diff and refitted it and had a very good deal with fridgefreezer for some defender front free wheel hubs which i am going to fit to allow me to drive 2wd on the road i now need to source the correct stub shafts bearing in mind speed [i want to go to woodlands next week end] any one know part nos and or source thanks in advance

hi again fridge freezer sounds like adeal to me i am not going to sodbury if you dont mind could you please find cost of postage and i will send a chequeto cover all your costs plus cost hubs to the people concerned about wearig out tyres andskipping around cornerson harder ground off road iwiil use 3 wheel drive on road 2 wd cheers

can any one tell me if it possible to fit any free wheel hub to a rrc i am considering welding my fdiff and drive on road in 2 wheel drive with centre diff lockon i have done it before in a suzuki which was realy good off road dont take the mick out of me if this realy stupid idea just tell me yea or nay cheers merrick

it sounds very mutch like sticking relief valve looks like oil presure relief valve locate it clean it and it will probably solve your problem

la supertrucks are good value 30 or 40 quid cheeper than every one else for what apears to be the sane product billet cut 30mm spacers which i have now used on 3 vehicles in my opimion very good product
