  1. Finally getting around to fitting the Albright solenoid to the Warn winch. Is there any real benefit with continuing with Warn's system of switching the Ground as well as the power or should I just ground onto the body?
  2. Seems Maurice Wilks took a Jeep chassis in 1947, copied it and called it a Landrover so Colin is just following a long standing tradition So as you guys are outraged by this recent behaviour you will all support my campagn to get Ford to stop making these copies and you will all sell your vehicles. I think the likes of Lee are quite smart. By slagging off various parts of the X-Eng product he gets Simon to explain why it was designed that way. Pretty useful if you want to copy it but don't understand how it works. BTW I think Lee is named after General Lee and is really an american hence the spelling and grammar
  3. Pugwash - you have now set Cuffy a really big challenge to see what he can do to make it different - no-one has suggested fancy dress yet and after seeing a certain 40 year old man in plastic pants recently, what more can I say ? Also, thanks for the kind words about getting my Jeep dirty (even better now there are 2 of them to play with - pity neither works but you can't have everything). Back to event stuff, when you register the site will automatically ask you to pay £70 as its not clever enough to know who gets the discount down to £50. If you have been to either of last year's events at SS you get the discount so if you're on my list, its a done job. Anyone who is not sure, just PM me or drop me an email via J33P site.
  4. Merlin Motorsport do them for £40-£52 + VAT depending on hose size, includes wiring, relay etc but not LEDs or switches. They are aluminium but not machined nor blinged.
  5. They are becoming very common in the Land of the Free. Over there most people use York compressors as they were fitted to Volvo's. I have seen one guy in the UK use a compressor off a Peugeot 405. Check out this site http://www.kilbyenterprises.com/ for FAQs etc Main issue is the lubrication. Normally the aircon gas lubricates the pump so you need to add oil. Best solution is to "catch" the oil and recirculate. If you live anywhere near Ivor Daniels then I would go and visit him. Mike Cuff's Jeep seems to have taken up residence and that has a full OBA fitted by Mike including air tank alternatively drop Mike an e-mail or Phil Walker or Sam Fletcher. They have all fitted them. Sam Fletcher sourced most his fittings etc in the UK.
  6. There is space for approx 33 people in the Dorms (can't remember the exact number) so there is plenty of room. They are all booked in name of J33P. I will sort out responses to everybody by the end of the week. Apologies but Bulldog, private event with Iwan Jenkins and Three Peaks Challenge in the last month has kept me busy. Angela
  7. Si, You don't need to enter a cheque number. It is just a simple deterent to stop people just booking up everything and then not turning up. When you register for an event I think the screen will change to confirm you have registered and will tell you where to send the cheque. You will also get an e-mail confirming the booking and giving you details on where to send the cheque and who to make it out to etc
  8. Si, Nothing seems to have come to me. Can you try e-mailing again to angela.royston@j33p.org. We normally sort out a deal at Baskerville Arms Hotel, which is in the village and in walking distance if the pull of the Disco is too strong.
  9. There will be a group going along from J33P including at least one Land Rover - likely to be 2 teams going along so if anyone is interested, check out J33P site for more information plus details of 2003 and 2004 events. Well worth the trip over if you can make it.
  10. There is more than one black TJ in J33P and this one is often driven by a woman.....
  11. If anyone wants to go, give Mike Cuff a call on 07979 516792. It should be a quiet weekend if you want to try out anything on your vehicles. Rumour that The Red Handbag will be there so something to have a laugh about.
