It was indeed a cracking weekend, Even a bit of Welsh summer weather on Sunday didn't stop the action, if anything it made it much more interesting It was nice to see so many very prepped motors being driven so well.
A few of the 200 pics i took of the two days and night of the event, shout if you want more.

Are spectators welcome at the camp site? as i may stay for both days to watch/photograph the action.

Paddocks list ALR4929 / CKE101120 for defender rear door seals, and MWC6130 / ALR6250 for front door bottom seals, anyone know the difference ?

I ran my loom along the top of the chassis rail, fixed ever 8" to a zip tie mount, riveted to the chassis. The loom is just wrapped in tape, but in exposed areas like in the wheel arches, it also has flexible ducting over it.

Something that has not been mentioned is that in some 100" conversions a longer rear-propshaft and longer trailing arms are fitted (Devon 4x4 kits), this also moves the rear axle significantly closer to the rear crossmember which dramatically improves departure angle, something you cannot have enough of for a challenge vehicle.
Or if you build a 100" the old fashioned way, you gain a lot of internal storage space

The metric ones are M20, not sure what the old imperial ones are though

I've thought about getting a car as well as my defender, but the cost of the second car, tax insurance, MOT, servicing and fuel for the car as well as all that on the landy would be well inexcess of the saving in fuel i'd make, due to the low number of miles i do.
So i've stuck with just the landy and try and look after it off road.

When was the fluid last changed ? as it should be changed every 3 or 4 years and can cause lumpyness when it's old.
-
Something like this then ?

Hhmmm, i'd hope they would have lasted more than 3000 miles I guess i could get them checked by the people who referbed them.

Any ideas on what would cause a 200 to sudenly start to misfire at idle and lower revs ?
So far i've only checked the injector pipes and returns as i thought they may have worked loose since fitting new injectors a few weeks ago.

I've been using a Prime Tech Tents USA 1.4m tent for the last two years and i love it, I've spent about 60 nights in it so far and i definately won't be going back to a ground tent.
It goes up and down in a matter of minutes, great for when it raining. The matress is 8' long so plenty of room and memory foam so nice and comfy. As Rusty says, they are very dark inside which was very usefull in Iceland. I've spent a few nights in rough weather and never had a problem with it moving (HD springs on the landy). Mine was bought on German Ebay.

I remember doing this with my Series III and it was a nuisance unthreading it.
Why not just snip the wires where the roof meets the body and fit in a push connector, much easier for next time.

What a fantastic weekend, stunning weather, and loads of interesting trucks to watch in action.
Some of my pictures for those who couldn't make it.
Video of the above

A decent size rear door would be nice too.
