i run 35"s on a 2 inch susension lift and 1 1/2 inch body lift with trimmed arches and would sujest this way.
you will also need a different wheel offset too.
it may be possible to not trim the arches and have more lift but i would prefer the other way myself, as it keeps the weight lower down

i have a diesel in my bobtail but it is being changed to a v8 if it was my every day vehicle i would stay with a diesel.as you have said you will get more power from the v8 plus they sound great so that would be my choice.
yes they can be found quite cheap but i would read all the threads on v8s so you no what to look for

i had a bit of wobble on mine but again tightening the steering box adjuster and fitting a steering damper as it was mising seemed to solve the problem abit . i would lift the front end and rock the steering and you should find the cause

ok cheers for the search results but doesnt really say much about the quality of the snorkels
if i was to make my own would it need to be 3" pipe on a 3.9 v8
plus i must admit i didnt search very hard

well it may sound strange but i am capable of using the search function but it generally leads nowhere or doesnt answer the question but thank you all the same. what i was trying to find was opinions of how they perform, and what people would buy themselves
also what are the arrows pointing at the red and yellow circles for

who makes a good snorkel kit for a rrc. im looking for a nice looking one thats not going to crack or leak over time
cheers

im not sure i have a spare nut but i have one you can borrow until i need it back

its its any help i think halfords do the easy bleeds aswell if there is one closer
-
if you use emery cloth i expect it will need a lot of wet and dry to, as any scratches in the pistons general mean it will leak.
its not expensive to fit new pistons and seals which you would probably benifit from in the future

from the sound of things it not like your going to be painting every day so the set you have chossen will provide more protection than standard mask. so probably a good idea however i would fit a good size fan into one of your walls as well if you havent already, it will help with your safty and also your paint finish as you wont have lots off overspray sitting about.
at the end of the day whatever precautions you take will help.
its also best not to have the compressor in the room you use for painting.

also give (earls) a try they are exactly the same as goodridge even heard somewhere they supply to goodridge but are half the price, youcan buy built up or the parts to build you own.

my missus has one and uses it to tow horse boxes etc not had any problems with it, and a local recovery type guy uses one and apparntly very well behaved with car trailers to. i havent towed with one but have done a few long journeys and there pretty comfy and nice to drive .
hope this helps

do autos absorb more engine power than manuals or is it unnoticable and do all range rovers have the same size transmission tunnel
-
how much would the components for a gas conversion be worth if taken out of a scrapper

as far as i know 2 pack still contains iso-cyanates but for small amounts of painting charcoal filters are ok wouldnt do a full respray every day with them but occasional use is fine. we used to bits of high build in the prep bay when the booths were full and thats all that was used.
plus 2 pack is far better than cellulose

other than the parts mentioned on the v8 mileage thread what are good things to look out for regarding engine and auto box condition all advise welcome
-
well it certainly makes a statement. But im not sure what one

i would go with sikaflex or tiger seal although the first being a bit better i think. never used the other one before have used some wurth sealers but personal would use sikaflex.
-
yeah i have been looking a full vehicles to but there doesnt seem to be many about near me and i dont have a towing licence. this means dragging friends out across the country to get stuff and none of them are that nice.
just gotta keep on looking fingers crossed

What Nige said, they will go forever if they're given some luvvin' or die quickly if they're not. It's all about condition.
That said, a good replacement 3.5 or 3.9 lump is peanuts these days so if the rest of the truck is a bargain it needn't hold you back.
how many peanuts they must cost alot more the closer you get to the channel tunnel as there about £600 for an unknown condition engine everywhere in kent
i might have to move
breather question

i read on another wading thread that a v8 auto didnt have any wading plugs? i have the engine a box out so will run new pipes and connectors to those, is it best to tap a push fit connector into the rocker cover, and would i benifit from a breather in the bellhousing.
