  1. I've tried for a while, but probably the strings used weren't correct (due to my english level maybe ) thanks a lot!
  2. Hi all! I'm going to buy a couple of OME 762 coil springs and I would like to know where I can find them on-line in UK (the exchange Pounds->Eur could be in my favour ) Many thanks!
  3. A 285/75 tyre is tall as a 255/85, with a diameter of 84cm (aprox). 3.5 higher than a 235/85 or a 265/75. So you can lift your axle but is heavy and the the wide of the tyre can stress your trasmission... Anyway in a standard Def I think you could have some problems in compression, relating to the rim's offset: often, with a negative offset, tyre scratch on the wheel arch, but isn't a big problem! I think that a 255/85 is a better choice than a 285/75: a little bit narrower and light but with the same diameter.
  4. Thank you! For the bumper: you certainly now the Equipe4x4 stuffs but also Raptor works well.
  5. Hi Jurriaan! can I ask you which kind of roll-cage you have? Looks very nice, maybe a Safety Device?
  6. I only know that modular 8x16 has +8 offset. Mounting this rim with 255/85 i had to slightly reduce the steering angle.
  7. I'm using a set of 8x16 modular rims manufactured by Mangels and I found it pretty good, also seeing the price of it. No, the paint (in mine) seems to be resistant to maltreatment I've attached two pic of me and my friend Oriano's 90 (but the one near his Def/Pub is me)
  8. HiFonics, we try to shock the typical english composure
  9. Source code is released just for "push" someone to translate the software for other platforms...
  10. As a Mac user: iTunes is simpler and more nice-to-see as WMP! Don't worry: you "can" delete iTunes but the music files are stored in directory and always in a "transparent" manner, so you can back-up all your music in one or more dvd if you want. I don't remember correctly... but you can re-sync your pc with the music filled in the iPod directly with iTunes in case of data lost... anyway I'm sure that somwhere in the web exist a software that can extract all your song from you iPod!
  11. Very nice! I'm waiting mods list. Have you some pic of the intern? Mine is a big mess... maybe I can learn something!
  12. In this news they talk about an hardware upgrade for the old version. I don't know terms of this upgrade, so I can't say what is better... also because I don't know the market price of a unit outside Italy (£200 in UK?). In the news they talk about the intention to keep back compatibility of all firmware/software updates, so for this point should'n be a problem: all updates are free registering on the website.
  13. I think that Nanocom is the swiss army knife for Td5: the diagnostic possibility that the tool is able don't have equals, also comparing it with LR Test Book if we think about possibility to record all parameters managed by ECU and view it in a graph! For delay in shipping/producing new Nanocom's unit: hardware is improved changing PC interfaces (no more serial port but the more common USB) and avoiding a heating problem when the unit was left, for example, in the Land in a very sunny day. Also the firmware is updated (version 2.0) and the software bundle but I haven't try it yet. And I'm glad to say that Nanocom was born some years ago from the (brillant) idea of a "senior" member of Africaland forum About the cost: in Italy is sold at the price of 249euro.
  14. Thank you Jim! I'm sure I will make some language-mistakes posting here, without using a translator but doing all by myself... pardon me! As Silvio I'm a moderator in Africaland forum, I hope/try to extend my Landie-knowledge and share few things that i've learned in my very short experience. (Sorry Ben for the OT!)
  15. I think that a 255 wide tyre is the limit for a 6,5inch rim. I've recently used a set of 255/85 BFG Mud (LandMania08), enjoing about this size and also the whole tyre: performing but not extreme. The right choice for my original transmission (except for the rear ARB). Certainly a 9.00x16 (that is a 255/100 about) is higher, but as diesel_jim said... expensive and need a reinforced transmission to keep the liability (what a strong word for us ) of the Land. (as my first post here... hello to everybody )
