Guest MJG
MSN cars Quite agree well balanced on the whole. What will be intersting to see though will be if their popularity re-emerges as much greener and eco frienldy versions are launched. LR are developing a 4x4 hybrid. Toyota have done it - LR must be quite worried at that level of 4x4 sales decline so they will want to pull out all the stops to do something about that. The new Defender (2007) is going to be "Euro4 Compliant" I think which should take it down a couple of tax groups.
LR90
I think to be fair his figure of declining 4x4 sales was quoted before but neglected to say that it was not as bad as the drop in sales of 'standard' cars. Ford and GM have not had a good year and its not just down to declining 4x4s.
LR90
Seems Land Rover are doing ok "The fact is that sales of Range Rover are 12 per cent up this so far, Range Rover Sport is 65 per cent up and Discovery is nine per cent up," Land Rover spokesman Mark Foster said.
