nige90
Expected the clutch failure to be the fork but no, the stupid plastic release bearing has melted. Are they always plastic or can I get a decent one made of proper materials and if so where ? Nige
BogMonster
The only ones I have seen are plastic bodied but may be other racing spec ones that will fit, or something like that? Never seen one melted though, suggests to me you have another problem that needs investigating!

Les Henson
I've only seen ones that have melted because of other problems, such as the bearing itself siezing. Les.

There's no problem using the plastic one all the while the bearing is good. If the bearing seizes or gets hot the plastic melts but that is a result of a failure not the cause.
