Harry m
The horn as stopped working on the Defender 200 tdi I have traced the purple and black wire out and seem to have continuity from the connector at the back of the instrument panel to the horn but don’t seem to have power when I push the horn switch at the end of the stork I’ve checked the fuse all ok . Could it be a doggie switch? As anyone had this problem
western
with a flat blade screwdriver pop the stalk end cap off, inside is a brass ring, a spring & the stalk has 2 brass fingers that contact the end caps ring, clean these up so they are bright/shiney then pop the cap on & see if it works, if nothing it could be a dead horn or a poor earth at horn end

western
Put the flat blade in the gap & twist the end cap should pop off fairly easily.
