pgrbff
96 300Tdi hicap, SALLDHHF7TA975470 The transfer case is leaking at joint with front propshaft. As I will be ordering the parts from the UK, and want to make sure I have everything I need, can someone help? Do I order just the oil seal and the bearing, just in case, or might I need the sealing washer, mudshield, circlip or spacer?
miketomcat
The mud sheild is a good idea as they can come loose. The felt washer (#2) and a new nyloc are also worth it. I wouldn't bother with the circlip or spacer. Mike

pgrbff
Using the parts book from this link http://www.retroanaconda.com/landrover/2010/02/land-rover-defender-110-parts-book/ , which Western kindly gave me, I can only find drawings for the transfer box to front flange for the LT77 and the LT85. The parts appear identical for both boxes. I have an R380 gearbox, will the parts be the same? I'm sure I'm being thick here.
western
Rear output flange & associated parts on page 369 of the transfer box pages, LT77 & R380 use the same parts as both are on the transfer box.
