Claytonv8
Evening you wonderful lot. I have a rr sport 2006 hse. 2.7 diesel auto. I keep getting a low level coolant message come up even though coolant level is okay. If I drive it like really steady it drives perfectly fine but if I plant my foot on the throttle it pulls for 15 seconds or so then goes into limp mode. Any ideas or any one has this before? Single turbo? Or does the Sport version get the twin turbo? Regards.
Escape
All single turbo in 2006 I believe. Do you get a check engine light or other message when you lose power? Going into limp mode is not uncommon, but I've never heard of it being related to a low coolant message. If you're sure the level is high enough, you can unplug the connector and see if that has any effect. You might need to bridge the connector to get rid of the message, I think it is a normally closed circuit. If you no longer get limp mode, you've found the cause and know where to look (possibly a faulty level sender).
