haakon
Hi. I've got a Disco I V8 and I've just mounted a Devon 4x4 winch bumper. There is not much space for the winch relay in front, so does anyone have any tips to where to mount the winch relay?
BogMonster
Do you mean the solenoid pack? or is this a power shut off relay like some Warn winches have?
russ3120
if its the solenoid, i cut my grill to fit around it. But this may not be the road you want to take if its the actual relay put it away from where it can get wet Russ
haakon
Maybe soleniod is the correct word. Sorry for that I want to hide it and just have the connector for the remote inside the car.
BogMonster
It may be worth you mounting the solenoid pack in the engine bay and wiring in an extension lead to the winch controller socket which can then be fitted in the grille?
haakon
Yes, that's what I'm thinking. Have anyone got any ideas to where to place the solenoid pack in the engine bay?
rob90
last Sunday I moved the solenoids and fixed them onto my bulkhead then ran some 3 core cable into the cab and terminated with a very nice arb style switch and remote lead socket on the grill
