Mark Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 I am vaguely planning to build some form of raised air intake for the disco, but am debating what sort of size tube to use... The Mantec snorkel I have looked at seems to use about 3" diameter tubing. The Southdown one seems to use 2.5" tubing. Is 2.5" big enough for a 200TDI? It seems slightly small to me, but I would appreciate any other opinions on what sort of size would be best. Cheers Mark ps. Lara Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 Tested this on my rolling road, 2.5" inch tube through the cab and up the rear truck cab (about 6ft all told) had no power problems with a TD5 showing 185 bhp.
