jericho
Handbrake cable snapped on my 300 tdi 90. Bought a sh*tpart replacement. Its the cable straight into the brake mechanism type, rather than the cable attatched to rod type. I will be doing this on the road outside my house,so would like to know whats in store before pulling it apart. Any useful tips greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jerry. P.S. tried a search of the tech archive, but it kept crashing on me.

You will need to remove the drum - see the post by Les H today on Int forum on LT230 rear oil seal replacement.
JST
its also easier to remove the back plate as well and strip the whole lot down on a bench then replace the cable and rebuild it all again then refit.
