you must have already thought about the roofrack idea?

what about some sort of back plate behide the spare wheel with some studs/bars off it that you could hook the boards onto then fix on with big square washers and wing nuts??? just a thought that came to me not seen it done before! or would they be taller than the top of bumper to roof height? not seen many mounted on standard disco's to be honest have you? <_<

Hi no i don't do roof racks  mine is a discovery commercial and is far from standard B) the idea is im just starting to get into novice winch challenge and i am trying to put my waffle boards somewhere easy to get at, i have seen someone with them mounted to the spare wheel but to me its waiting for a tree to rip them stright off  i have thought about mounting one eitherside of the truck on the panels :o :o :o not sure if this is wise either.

looking good russ B) i think that might have to be the way just inside my rear door, as for pick up route that may be sooner than i think as the truck is slowly getting a good ollection of dents on the rear panels    emmmm bobtail pick up :o
