I've got 178 feet I think of plasma, its too much so I thought of cutting it down by 50 feet and making an extension. But is 120 feet too much as well, any thoughts would be appreciated. Mark Posted November 12, 2007 Share Posted November 12, 2007 I have 125' of 11mm bowrope on my 8074 drum, and I have to admit that I think it is too much. The drum is very similar dimensions to and 8274, and 125' fills it up when spooled neatly - If doing a side pull or even just general winching where it doesn't spool neatly it gets very close to fouling and is prone to going off the end of the drum.
