big ives
hello anybody have one of these winches fitted as seen on ebay, feed back required either good or bad http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...A:IT&ih=
western
Haven't seen one on a LR, IMHO it's a bit over the top for LR vehicle, more suited to the bed of a recovery transporter. a 9,000lb winch is more than adequete for any LR. Speedy_Gonzales
helloanybody have one of these winches fitted as seen on ebay, feed back required either good or bad http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...A:IT&ih=007 This is the same winch that is supplied by Ryders of Liverpool (only cheaper!): http://www.ryderswinch.co.uk/product.asp?p...13&catid=91 I've got one on my 110, 1st outing it seized when I was stuck in 3 foot of mud cos there was a behr (Sp?) on the freespool which was catching (which Ryders promptly replaced). It is a good winch by all accounts, but mine hasnt seen too much use recently..
zulublue
The winch you are looking at is the same as a T- Max, I had one fitted and it did the job very well, they are not the fastest winches out there, but will get you out of a hole the only thing you have to bare in mind is that the braking system is inside the drum where the wire goes, on lowering yourself down a hill and using the winch to brake it heats the drum up that much it can and does melt plasma rope or equivalent. So if you are not bothered about using steel winch line it will do just fine. this guy in Germany sells loads of them and they come with a wireless remote control, keep in mind its about £50 for delivery. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/sportsshop-de
