steve b Posted February 7, 2008 Share Posted February 7, 2008 ......you could always collect the wood gas given off with it shut down and run the 109 on it John .....or just bolt the burner on the reardoor and pipe the gas straight into the engine.. Seriously though it does seem woodgas use has come on a bit since WW2 when cars that used it had a zeppelin on the roof to store it in, lots of interesting stuff if you google it. Basically a car towing a trailer with a gassifier on it. It was just a big charcoal burner that was sealed once it was lit and the gases piped to the car. Found these images.
