draper40
Hey, I have some new seatbelts that need fitting but one of them has wound in so far that it won't come out. How do I get it out? Thanks Peter
Orange
I hope you have lots of time on your hands... They are quite fiddly and will only move 1/2" at a time, but they do come out eventually!! Have you tried bolting it in place as they are very tempramental and will only work at certain angles...
jimmy_neutron
Hold it in the same position that it will be fitted in in the car. Theres a large ball bearing inside that checks for correct orientation and shock. so if the reel angle is out of position then the belt will not unwind but will wind in. draper40
I'll have to trie that then. Thanks
draper40
That's sorted it although when i finally got it out it sounded like something snapped but it is rolling out freely and jams when puled hard so I think it's fine. Thanks Peter
FridgeFreezer
You can unscrew the plastic housing and hold the mechanism so it doesn't jam. Mine kept filling with mud and refusing to play so I removed the wobbly ball thingy (which always jams off-road unless you're parked perfectly level ) and just left the inertia bit. draper40
Where are the screws for the housing. I can't seem to find any!
