SiWhite
I'd be really grateful if someone with a milemarker hydraulic winch could do a quick measurement for me..... I'm after the length of the tie bars - i.e the distance between the inner edges of the gearbox and motor casings . I know the 'footprint' hole spacings but as I'm remaking the tie bars I'd like to know if it's square Ta in advance.......
BogMonster
230mm according to my tape measure, though it is hard to tell where the corrosion stops and the body starts, corrosion resistance is not one of Milemarker's strengths What did you do to your old tie bars? SiWhite
Thanks Bogmonster.... I bought the winch second hand. The guy before me had rolled his truck pretty badly and bend the chassis, which had in turn bent the bumper and therefore the winch had twisted. This broke the tie bars and the tie bar lugs from one end of the winch casing. Good job it was cheap
