cipx2
Try this link both from Internet Explorer and Firefox and tell us if it works (it might take longer to open): Health & Care
Anglo-Frenchman
Amazing. The link works with both Exploerer & Firefox. There is small strange partially transparent ad that pops up on the web page but that can be closed. How did that work?
pugwash
good test cipx2- didn't think of that. seems to be a DNS or routing problem ISP side then.
moose
like i said its a routing problem with your isp cipx2 has cleverly linked you through an open proxy server... so information from your computer is going to another server (from which you can see the advert) and then on to the web site server that you wanted.. so in affect you are using a different traffic route to get to the website.. so Anglo-Frenchman i would still drop an email to your isp support... you never know they might fix it one day.... secure (https) open proxy servers can be handy if you want to get round local network access rules too
cipx2
Anglo-Frenchman, for the time being you can use http://anonymouse.org/anonwww.html , paste/write the link you can cannot access where it says "Enter URL" and click the "Surf anonymously" button. You will have to close that nagging popup window but at least you will be able to have access to the info. Or you can bookmark the links after that. Here's the link for Orange Yes, you can ask your ISP what's going on. I told you some ISPs in France have a funny way of providing the service. I donno if e-mail would work, try a baseball bat
Anglo-Frenchman
Well I'm very endebted to you all. Its witch-craft to me but as long as it works I don't care how. I will look into the DNS thing and see about updating firmware on the Belkin. Ged
