Michele
I know it's not a Series but I guess there's no big difference plus I guess Series owners are more used to this kind of job So this is where I'm stuck at the moment... Damn cappings won't fit no matter how much I swear I tried to make them engage one side or the other first and they slightly start to fit but only gain a few millimeters, and no more than that. I tried waxing them, nothing. I also tried spreading the edges with a piece of timber but didn't want to bend the capping. I guess there may be a trick but I don't have a clue!??! Any skilled restorer/rebuilder here? I need the Cube back on the road... Any suggestion appreciated! TIA
Tonk
Michele, do i take it you cant get the cappings to sit over properly? if i was going to all that trouble i would've straightened that rear wing out too
Michele
Hello Mark, how are you doing? I have enough of these bluddy cappings already, leave the wing as it is Yup they don't seat properly or,better, they don't sit at all! I guess they get stuck on the L lip of the panel at a point... ...can't beat them down with a big hammer as I'd like to do without wrecking the poor thing? Gremlin
Are they off a another 90 and galvanised or are they a series part?? As i think the tubs are not exactly the same, add to that its a land rover, nothing fits the same on any 2 vehicles. I think its time for a big hammer or grinder.......
