TheBeastie
The last couple of mornings there has been a solitary drop of "oil" on the matting underneath my brake pedal. It has clearly dropped down but I cannot see where from since nothing in the engine bay above the brake pedal appears to carry oil. I say oil since it is black and thickish so I do not think it is brake fluid. I am sure it isn't major but I wondered if anyone else had experienced this and where it was coming from. The only thing I could think of was possibly excess grease left from when greasing prop shaft and had been spun off. Thanks for any ideas Best wishes, Malcy
Les Henson
It could be brake fluid - it's just picking up dirt on the way down. Old brake fluid is usually black anyway from the seals as they wear. Les.
western
it could be grease from the brake pedal pivots/return springs. as fluid would need to get past the brake servo to enter the cab at that brake pedal.
siearl
I was thinking at confused land rover, dripping oil inside and not out
