Scotian
I dont actually know waht ampage mine is but if I put all my lights on at once (main beam and 5 spots) and the electric fan the voltage at the battery drops to 12v and if I do a long run like that it drains be battery enough to not start after. If my alt was needing replaced now I would be looking for a 80, 90 or maybe even 100 amp one. Keep it future proof for any other electrics you may fit. LandyManLuke
No problem upgrading, the only slight hassle could be the terminals on the back, it's worth checking if you've got a block full of spade connectors, or individual ring/post connectors, which will be on the 65A alternator. If you've got the block of spades, it's worth upgrading the wire to the starter when you swap over.
