Dresden Breslaw 28/6-05/7

Recommended Posts

HI folks

We are going down to Dresden to watch the registration friday 27/6 and prolog saturday 28/6 and hopefully also the first stage on sunday 29/6.

We are doing it as a recon trip since we are planning to do it next year in The Kitten.

We are flying in to Berlin on thursday afternoon, where we pickup a small hired car and then we drive down to Dresden to watch all the fun.

The program is as below.

28.06.2008 - Prolog

29.06.2008 - Erste Etappe in Deutschland

30.06.2008 - Zweite Etappe Grenzübertritt Gubin-Zagan

01.07.2008 - Dritte Etappe Rundkurs Zagan

02.07.2008 - Vierte Etappe Hannibal-Marathon-Etappe

03.07.2008 - Fünfte Etappe kleiner Rundkurs Recz

04.07.2008 - Sechste Etappe grosser Rundkurs Drawsko

05.07.2008 - Siegestetappe - Party

It would be nice to know if anybody went there, perhaps we could meet and have a few beers and a chat....

Regards

Ole.

Have always wanted to do this, but always find myself busy or returning from other trips when this event is running.

I heard some sad news that this could be the last Dresden Breslow as the organisers are retiring?

Does anyone else know about this?

Jim :)

currently it is the last DB in the current format (organiser are retiring as Jim said). Someone else is taking over from next year, but not much information if/what changes will be made.

Hi Folks

That is no good news, but we will se what happens so much more a good reason to go and do some recon.

Yes it is hard to get info, I found them via link on http://www.marathonrally.com/news/7188.0.html I am not good at getting links to work but otherwise copy/paste.

Could still be fun to meet some off you for a beer ;)

Regards

Ole.

I will be there from the 27th, as the crew of Marathonrally.com are celebrating their aniversary that night with a lot of beer, bar-b-q and music.

I will try to post my images as soon as I get online, though I am not sure if I will have the time as a friend of mine ist currently desperatly looking bfor a co-driver/navigator in his Range "Rat-Rover".

Cheers, Robert

Hi there,

I am back, or currently on an assignment in the UK.

I will be competing in the event and there are a few positions currently open.

2 Mechanics for MAN

A new team with a MAN KAT1 V10 Deutz 6x6 is currently seeking 2 qualified MAN (preferably) mechanics for their service crew.

They pay 500 Euro for the service and come up for any expenses during the raid.

Co-pilot in a Suzuki Jimny

A competitor is in desperate need of a navigator and is paying all expenses during the event for the co-pilot.

Co-pilot on a Rover

A friend of mine is still looking for a co-driver in his Range Rover.

Just send me a note or email me at: kranz(at)frontline-services.de

Other than that, the Marathonrally Party will be on Friday 27th and there will be a lot of free beer and bar-b-q :)

So long,

Robert
