500bhp
A quick question, on a 1996 p38 2.5 diesel Range Rover manual, I thought all models had a viscouse fan, my 1998 p38 auto diesel version has a viscouse fan, the 1996 I have just purchased appears to have a fixed fan. Also it appears to have had the thermostat removed, is there any advantage to not refitting a thermostat?
paintman
is there any advantage to not refitting a thermostat? No. Quite the opposite. Can seriously affect the water flow. Often a ploy by the unscrupulous to hide an overheating problem when selling a vehicle.
Bowie69
No thermostat means no heater as well though!
