tjolliffe
Hi guys, I've just bought a RRC to use as a bit of an off-road toy. I want to stiffen up the suspension a bit (but not spend any money! ), I’ve got a set of old standard coils off my 90, are these stiffer than the standard rangey ones? Would be handy if they are.... ltwt1981
Surely you want it softer to give more articulation.
Exmoor Beast
Spring bible: Click here I used LR spec HD springs on my Range Rover Classic years ago, gives about +1" increase in height which is just enough to fit 31" tyres, they are cheap enough. The Police spec ones are very popular and again cheap. Depends what you are after really, for playday type larks I would just slap the HD spec or Police ones on along with some 31" tyres, if you are after maximum performance then you need to start weighing the corners on a weighbridge and start being a bit more scientific about it using the tables above.
