BogMonster
Does anybody know of an off the shelf capstan winch currently available, to fit the front of a 300Tdi Defender? There used to be a Superwinch type a few years back but AFAIK that is now out of production.... it was good though, operated off a PTO drive from the back of the transfer box. PG Winches previously advised that most capstan winches sold are only suitable for vehicles up to 200Tdis, something to do with the drive arrangement. honitonhobbit
Ring Elaine you stingey git - I bet you could claim the cost back from the Government! He has an electric one in his store at the moment but I think it is non vehicle dependent. Diddy will make one up for the right pennies. Mind you htere is alsorts of legal pooh on Capstans at the moment via the HSE so he might say "sod off you penguin rustler!"
