Graham Thomson
There is a leak in my roof. I suspect it's from the sunroof (only because I'm struggling to work out where else it could be from!). Question is.....how to fix?
Landowner
Mine suffered this problem and I ended up using silicone sealant to weld it shut as it was forever dripping in my lap. Never did find the cause of the leak spelying edit
alantd
Some people have had leaking through the gutters. If it's your county that's leaking then it could be running round the lining before making its way in (disguising the entry point).
sighnbox
Mine did it to drip drip drip via the sun roof same as Landowner black silacon sealant round the rubber and shut it. Glued shut and never been a leak, wet seats, wet floor, wet dash since Paul
Graham Thomson
Wonder if it's possible to line the thing around the edge with some sort of "waterproof draught excluder sort of material" to clamp on when you close it and therefore make it sealed. Apologies for the technical-speak there! I think I would still like it to open just in case we ever have a warm day............
western
get some rubber lubricant or silicone grease or vaseline, wash the seal/ dry it & give it a good greasing, wipe off any excess, did similar to my sunroof seal 7 it doesn't leak.
