Tomas4x4
Hello, I need to change the drivers side c.v. joint on my 300tdi 1996 disco, but apparantaly thers two types, a 10 spline and a 14 spline, how do I know which one is for mine, without taking it off? Also what else will I need when changing the c.v. joint? Any help and advice is much appreciated! Thanks! Tom.
discojmz
300tdi and late 200tdi like mine, should be the stronger 24 spline HTH Jim
white90
more like 32 spline cv's fitted if the drive member is the thin narrow type
Pete Attryde
As Tony says should be 32 spline CV. Half shaft should be 24 spline at diff end on that age vehicle. Pete.
6cyltdi
As above 32 spline, you don't get 10 spline its either 24 or 32, 91' on should all be 32 spline...
discojmz
I can only assume the supplier the guy is buying from lists parts (As do many) by whether it is a 10 spline or 24 spline driveline (which is the more often known specification) in which case it's 24 if they list the CVs individually, it's a 32 spline as said
