DF1
Hi folks, Need a bit of guidance, I have a 2006 TD5 defender 110 van. The trouble is in the relays under the seat. One of the yellow ones that is for the fuel pump seems to be burning out. I'm on my third relay in 6 months. The relay gets very hot to the point that the plug has gone brown at one of the terminals. Any advice ?

Any advice ? Sounds like a lose connection, why not send it back to the dealers for a warentee fix?
BogMonster
Either a bad connection or a fuel pump that is on the way out and drawing too much juice - though they usually just go pop...
Escape
Hi folks,Need a bit of guidance, I have a 2006 TD5 defender 110 van. The trouble is in the relays under the seat. One of the yellow ones that is for the fuel pump seems to be burning out. I'm on my third relay in 6 months. The relay gets very hot to the point that the plug has gone brown at one of the terminals. Any advice ? Normally the relay is protected with a 20A fuse. When my pump died, the fuse got blown, but the relay was intact.
