Pacey
Hi guys, I just got this bumper of a mate, its obviously been used but metal wise is in perfect condition. The wagon is getting kitted up for overland use so tough was my thinking which this certainly seems be. Just a few questions on it tho, can someone clarify if it was designed for an air con fitted vehicle? I think it was. Also ideas what winch can go in or is it a case of a mate with gas axe getting fancy? I liked the look of the superwinch EP9, seemed to have good line speed to ampage draw. Milemarker Type S
Looks to me like the bumper was made for a Superwinch Husky- looking at the offset cut out for the fairlead. To fit any other kind of winch you would need to move the holes for bolting the winch down and also the fairlead cut out. Huskys are good solid bits of kit- but not all that cheap- they do come up 2nd hand but will still not be cheap. They are also not fast but are reliable- good for overland use! I prefer the Goodwinch TDS winches over the Superwinch EP9... as I think do a lot of people.
Guest diesel_jim
With the large hole on the LH side (looking at it from the front) i'd say superwinch husky 8000. as for A/C, don't know, you'd have to measure the depth of a husky and then see what clearance there is. western
Cool, i take it the husky 10 will fit in this bumper. Yep, IIRC no difference in overall size between the 2 winches, think it's different gearing that gives the Husky 10 a bit more pull.
