Smudge 4x4
Whilst I was away fighting thwack, my dearly beloved Sandgbag has managed to completely muck up our EMail! When I try to log in to Hotmail, it gives a message to identify 8 figures in a message to identify myself, which I do, it then asks for my EMail & Password etc, which I type in. Then it goes back to the 8 figure recognition thing again, this goes on & on, never letting me get close to my EMail, ANY CLUES???
tuko
BUT, it has to be recognizing an error, when that winodw comes up. Wrong user name or password. Todd.
MarkieB
It could be to do with cookies. There are several sites that load cookies when you log into Hotmail, including passport.com, msn.com, hotmail.com, hotmail.co.uk + possibly others. I still get the roundabout whenever I try to download an attachment from the web Hotmail; it's worth checking your cookie settings, in IE6 it's tools—> internet options —>privacy, you may have blocked all cookies from one of the necessary sites. That recognition window is supposed to prevent spammers, although it seems a bit hyperactive. Nothing to do with password errors to my knowledge. Normally you type in the password first, then get the letter recognition screen. regards
