Project Green Oval Posted November 11, 2008 Share Posted November 11, 2008 Hi i have a discovery 300tdi which the water pump is making a lot of noise which caused it to over heat and loose water i after allowing hour or so to cool i re filled with water and started the engine almost instantly it built up a lot of pressure causing water to come out the top of the expantion tank is this causedjust by the no good water pump or have i done some damage? PEASEY Posted November 12, 2008 Share Posted November 12, 2008 Im affraid im going to have to agree with bogy here and say i reckon the head gasket has expired mate,still never mind they do some nice uprated ones now and you get to have a good look at piston and valve condition while your there.Oh and give everything a dam good clean up as well Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
