fatforbes
Im rebuilding my 300 90 on a glav chassis and decided to get new springs and shocks all round. The back springs and shocks look fine but the front doesn't look quite right. The springs and shocks look like they're leaning back, the bottom bushes on the shocks are compressed on the back side more than the front and so are the springs. I've just got the engine and box in which seem to have improved it slightly. I've also fitted polybushes so wether that makes any difference?? is this normal?? landroversforever
my guess is that the springs will be for a higher weight being at the front, so therefore without the weight they will be much stiffer and push the chassis up, rotating the axle around the arc of the radius arm. this would compress the shock bush on the rear side. ( same as it would with droop travel )
