western
Husky's are excellent winch's, I've got one on my 110 & a 2nd to go on my rally recovery trailer eventually. get some 85/140 gearoil & do a oil change on it before use, there's 2 allen socket plugs one on the front of the gearbox casing & the 2nd under the cable drum, fill from the front plug & drain from the 2nd plug, you'll need aroud .6 of a litre. western
no oil should come from the free spool lever, sounds like a seal has given up, oil change periods are upto you but the manual says 'after 50 hours of winching or Annually, the spur gearbox [the bulge on the back the motor fits in to for drive] is BP Energrease FGL. & Don't use EP oils [i.e. EP90] it not good for the phosphor bronze bearings. hth
white90
The gearbox breather vents at the top of the freespool lever if the winch has been turned on its end or upside down then it may be residule oil in the vent leaking.
