FridgeFreezer
I'm pretty sure the current clutch kit fitted to the 109 (4.6 V8, 3.5 flywheel, R380 box) is a standard LT77 V8 kit, and I've found out the hard way that a P38 4.6 kit is not the same thing Now Paddocks website is adding to my confusion by listing several clutch kits: FTC4828 is the 3.9 92-94 version (I presume the R380 box was fitted from 92?) They then list bits separately so you have: FTC813 / FTC814 for the 3.9 V8 up to 92 576476 / FTC3197 for the 3.5 all models 86-94 ...and the release bearing is the same thing forever. This doesn't make things much clearer either Can anyone shed a bit of light on this mess, I thought V8 clutches were much of a muchness across the board
paintman
You might find this of more use. Gives the clutch plate sizes as well. http://www2.qha.com/catalogues/QH08.pdf Par for the course. Tried the catalogue before posting the link & now its playing up - the rest of the QH catalogues are downloading fine. So if you are having a problem you might want to try later
paintman
Tried the link again this morning. Still doesn't want to play in Mozilla Firefox, but works fine on AOL.
FridgeFreezer
Works fine here, ta. Now I know what's fitted to what I'm even more confused about what to buy
FridgeFreezer
Conversing today with rakeway about their uprated clutch release bearings (of which I have one but needed a new bearing bit for) it turns out the longer-than-standard (EG longer than an FTC5200) version I have appears to have been sent entirely by accident rather than being an R380-specific one as I had assumed. They are sending me a "normal" length one to put in with the new clutch. I think it's just the sleeve on the back end that's longer and there appears to be plenty of room for that to disappear in the V8 bellhousing.
