Les Henson Posted February 10, 2009 Share Posted February 10, 2009 Early Freelanders have weak diffs, which are/were prone to bearing failure. Check for leaks, play where the drive shafts exit the diff, the drive flange on the diff nose, and the the mounting on the drivers side of the diff nose.
