guitargreen
Can anyone tell me which type of tool I require to remove the radio/cassette from my 02 Freelander please. There is only one hole on each side. Regards Adrian...
markzitnik
you just need a long pin to go into the holes on each side, any pin will do the job, and then just pull it out.
DavidM
On my Freelander this C42 radio/cassette requires a (long) small allen key to be inserted and turned anti-clockwide to release the fixing lugs. Don't think the previous poster's suggestion of using a long pin is going to work.
Jårv
Don't think the previous poster's suggestion of using a long pin is going to work. It does .... I removed te radio of my FL with wooden Saté sticks/pins (or how do ya call em in the UK) But the allenkey works aswell ... and you know they won't break that easy cheers, Dennis B)
Lamby
Go to your local holfords or radio shop a they should sell a "universial radio removal tool". Its a u shape piece of metal just the same as in the photo. I got one from halfords and it got my genuine lr cd player out.

Mark
As has been said - small allen key is required to undo the clips. Jarv - cocktail sticks Mark
BogMonster
2.5mm allen key unscrew clamps and it will pull out. You will be a long time trying to get it out any other way unless it is with a crowbar
