disco tony
My new disco is 300tdi with a 2" lift. As stated on here, the donuts dont last very long so people change the output flange to accept a uj, (see tech archive). Ok, if I get one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:X:RTQ:GB:1123, do I need to change the prop shaft? Any advice greatly received by me, "confused .com"
disco_al
iirc you need the flange and prop off a 200 tdi, or at least the prop flange to mate to the correct drive flange
teabag
Or find yourself a rear prop and a pinion flange off the later V8, they dont have "donuts"
Delta
iirc you need the flange and prop off a 200 tdi, or at least the prop flange to mate to the correct drive flange I have been told that the propshaft of the 200 (with flange) will be 3cm (+- 1") to long!! Offroading this could be disaster. Is this true, because mine 300 is also 2" lifted and I want to change props (but without probs This prop from V8, should it come from 300 series and is it plug and play? I would have thougt these must be stronger than the props of a diesel, as the V8 has much more power and torgue? What about the front prop (to much angle)? How to solve this? With a Disco TD5 front shaft? With a defender 300 front shaft? Best regards, Fred
