Jon White
Checked the inertia switch? Otherwise can you smell diesel? Could be you've got an air leak somewhere in the fuel lines. Jon
Ally V8
Quite common for a TD6 - all the same reasons as a TD4 not starting. Low pressure electric pumps failing.(There are 2) Excess leakby in one or more fuel injectors. Failed fuel pressure regulator. Poor connections at fuel pressure regulator. A quick session on Testbook is usually the first port of call as the fault codes are accurate and you can tell alot from live data even with the engine stopped. V8 90 JON
it was indeed the low pressure pump (located behind a rectamgular palnel in the plastic under shroud just forward and inboard of the rear nearside wheel, a tap with a hammer got it going again and then a replacement from europarts ...£150 inc as apposed to landrovers £360 +vat!!
