11aowner
hi all, i am putting a tranny engine, in my 2a, all is going well, just a couple of things to do, the main one being the exhaust, the tranny exhaust, is a bigger bore than the petrol, now, would a 90 diesel exhaust, follow the same route from under the passenger seat, to the arse end? FridgeFreezer
There shouldn't be much in it in theory. The best way of doing it is to avail yourself of a parts catalogue (the CD-ROM version if you can) that features pretty pictures of all the available exhaust parts. A friend built an exhaust for a V6 88" coiler hybrid this way using 100% LR parts from downpipe back!
Les Henson
The 90 exhaust is 60mm diameter and stays on the passenger side all the way to exit at the rear corner. You might only have to fabricate a downpipe to join the transit exhaust to the 90 system. If you keep the thinner exhaust, you will in effect be restricting the power output at higher revs. Les. minivin
But not forgetting that the smaller pipe will improve marginly the low RPM torque
