bigdru Posted July 25, 2009 Share Posted July 25, 2009 my 95 disco v8 has developed a strong petrol smell inside and out today, after puting petrol in today. when i opened the fuel cap there is a lot of pressure escaping, been like that for a while but now it has a strong smell aswell. had a quick look under the car no sighns of a leak. any ideas plse. thanks bigdru Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

teabag Posted July 26, 2009 Share Posted July 26, 2009 The breather is a stiff rubber tube that links with the filler pipe and vents via the filler cap so either the fuel has overflowed or you have a leak to be able to smell the stuff.
