AndyM1980
I have just taken the old lump out of my 110 anp put a TDI engine in. However, I can't get the bottom three pins in the bell housing, they dont marry. The father in law says they weren't in on the old lump, but wants it out again to drill it. I have all the rest in, am I alright to leave it? Cant be going backwards Cheers!! Andy
Les Henson
What was the old engine? If it was an N/A or TD engine, then swap the clutch flywheel housing over and it'll all just line up. Les
fender1234
on mine i got rid of the bottom studs and didnt bother putting anything in and its been fine for over 2 years now, so i think its fine personally
Jon White
You need to counterbore the bottom holes in the backplate and fit socket head bolts to tie into the ladder frame. All the stud holes you need are already drill they're just not tapped. If you tap the holes and put studs in it'll all bolt together. IMHO its a bodge just to leave them out and it isnt alot of work to do things properly. I have post on here before how to do it. Les Henson
Fixings are supposed to be there, so put them there. This ain't rocket science. Les.

Les, I understand where your coming from, but there were none in originally so was a little unsure. This is my first time doing anything to a motor, so i am completely lost. I seem to be taking one step forward and three back! There in now anyway. Cheers Andy
