Turbocharger Posted August 31, 2009 Share Posted August 31, 2009 Definately not the same - I've got a V8 auto box behind my Tdi, and a big converter ring to match the two. Problem with a converter ring is that the whole thing ends up being longer, so you need to make up the gap between the centre of the flex plate and the end of the crank, too.
