Les Henson
Today was "Clean the sh**theap laughingly called my workshop" day This is April fools right? You don't have a workshop - it's an open-ended skip with windows added to blend in with the neighbourhood. Last time I was there you had the floor, covered in rubbish, covered in carpet, covered in rubbish, covered in carpet a second time in a couple of places. What happened - did something blow up and clean it out for you or did you get fed-up with banging your head on the ceiling? A day? don't make me laugh! I have a soft broom and dustpan and brush - my inventing shed never gets that filthy Les
TheRecklessEngineer
What model dyson? I know a chap... I would also recommend a Henry - I use one in my workshop. I use it for both wet and dry stuff...just make sure you remember to empty it quite often if using it for wet stuff!
landroversforever
well by the sounds of it you can't go wrong with an ebay Henry!
Aragorn
A henry probably shouldnt be used for wet work unless it has the proper float valve, and i suspect the "tub" on the domestic henry machines isnt large enough to take the float, i may be wrong though. Charles and George are taller, giving them more room for the float etc, as are the "commercial" machines sold as wet/dry. The other bonus is that spares are everywhere, so should it fail you'll easily be able to throw in another motor or whatever and off you go. I have a henry for hoovering the house, got it free because it "didnt work" and it turned out to be a little copper contact that transfers power from the windy-drum to the motor/switch etc had snapped. Few quid on ebay and it was working nicely, and i've got a spare contact should it ever break again.
